On-call liveblogging: Graffito

In one of the surgical call rooms, on one of the bunk beds, someone has written on the slats under the upper bunk so that the person lying in the lower bunk sees just above their head: "You need to preround."

This may not mean much to someone who's never been on call, but trust me -- it's funny. Sort of.

Yuletide prediction

First trauma call last night was pretty mellow. However, tonight one of my fellow EMers and I were watching the escalating levels of drunkeness in the street and realizing that we're probably in for some interesting cases in the next few days.

Holiday cheer

Just got the schedule for my upcoming trauma surgery rotation; turns out I'll be on call both Christmas and New Year's. At least it simplifies the holiday schedule.
